Dubbed "The Hundred Year Storm of 1969," San Luis Obispo county took a hard hit that year when over 33" of rain fell in the first 25 days of the year.

I was there with my trusty Nikkormat to preserve most of these photos in this set.

The last seven pictures are from a little booklet published by David Ranns called, "January 1969 - The Flood That Was." The photographs were taken by Dave Etheridge and David Ranns. Articles in the booklet were written by Gilbert Moore and Dave Verbon. It was printed by Blake Printery in SLO and sold for $1.00.
