Another profitable morning with my 200-500mm lens working for me. There were quite a few bird varieties at the Preserve, and I was able to see some Black-crowned Night Herons for the first time. There was a gang of over 20 Snowy Egrets that stuck together while I was there, flying from under the Franklin Road bridge to the south pond area, then they were spooked into the trees on the slough before flying back to the main pond in front of the Visitor Center about 9:00.
