I was surprised to see a nice cloud array at sunrise when I opened the garage door to head north to the Cosumnes Preserve this morning. These turned into the most wonderful cirrus displays in the next few hours. I purposed to get some good oak tree photos using these as backdrops. I was also surprised to see a family of turkeys herding about twelve. foot-high youngsters on one of the back trails, along with a pair of turkey vultures that let me get within 30' of them while they warmed up on the train trestle. It will be close to 100 degrees today. It was starting to roast when I left at 9:00. Time to go home and change the truck alternator.
