The annual re-enactment is perfectly scheduled for the spring. This year's flower show in the background of blood and guts being spilled was fitting.

I'm not a fan of war by any stretch, but do like the booming and color of clean uniforms and flags. Reality TV this ain't. All staged, with the outcome predetermined, each side 'fights' until the opposing troops or artillery is taken.

My favorite shots are of the re-enactors themselves. Classic history in living color.
