More birding fever here as I visited Staten Island Road again, then the Preserve a few miles away. Wonderful sunrise color was a blessing after a foggy visit last time. Color makes a huge difference. There were hundreds more Sandhill Cranes this morning than last visit, also. Pretty overwhelming. Fewer geese, though.
The photos of the Ring-necked Duck and Bufflehead were cropped heavily - thus, they are out of focus. Sorry, I'm a stickler for quality, but I hadn't seen these two species before.
