About 250 people enjoyed the solar eclipse with the help of the Stockton Astronomical Society at the waterfront in Stockton Sunday evening. Over a dozen telescopes and other devices were ready to let everyone have a look-see at a rare, almost-full eclipse of the sun.

All the kids were enthusiastic about the hands-on availability of a science project gone wild. The club offered special 'glasses' to protect their eyes while viewing, also. Angel thought it was pretty cool. So did her grandpa!
