Wanting to get a better shot of swallows feasting at sunrise, I drove back to Cosumnes River Preserve again this morning. I was surprised to see the waterway under and around the bridges had been dredged this week, destroying the pristine flora. Granted, the invasive plants were clogging the inlet and needed disposal, but they sure made a mess in doing it.

I was surprised to see three coyotes on this outing, but not as surprised as two of them were to see me. They turned tail and ran after spotting Old Davy - that's good, actually.

Talked to a few folk on the the trail. Thanks, Patty, for sharing your love of the outdoors.

Great shots. Beautiful compositions. One can almost smell the poop.
