I was curious about the longer trails I hadn't walked at Cosumnes River Wildlife Preserve and headed out before sunrise to check them out. I was the only car in the parking lot about 5:30 or so, and headed past the visitor center to the trailhead just across the walking bridge. Lots of birds calling, a bit of a breeze and very cool (only got up to 75 degrees today). Plenty to see and enjoy - if you have strong legs.
