My photo challenge for November includes "close-up" for one of its four challenge themes, so I purposed to shoot a few this morning.
I saw the sun rise over yellow vineyards on I-5 while driving north to Cosumnes Preserve, but when I got to Thornton, the sun disappeared and the fog blanketed everything on the refuge. Except for the cold and dampness, I was glad to have some muted light for great color.
The parking lot was filled with kayakers and birders looking for beaver, otter and various waterfowl. Someday, I may rent one and go with them on one of their 'tours.'
I was back home by 9:30, ready to eat French toast with the family, go to Lowe's with Barb to pick up paint and stuff for the kitchen, hall and laundry room. Liz, Angel and Thomas all helped paint later. Sweet memories.
