Saturday May 12 at the Sacramento Rose Garden, where there was a dedication for the new landscaping project, including "an accessible walkway, new automatic irrigation system, planter curbs, a drinking fountain, a rose garden map, accessible parking spaces, and bench improvements.

"This 1.5-acre garden, created in 1928, features more than 1,000 rose bushes, tree roses, and blooming annuals. New award-winning varieties are planted in the garden each year."

The fragrant perfume of this many roses is overwhelming. One drawback: the roses weren't labled or marked. Maybe there's a brochure with that information.
