More areas have been flooded at the Cosumnes River Preserve north of Thornton, CA on I-5. Additional winter birds are arriving, along with the hoards of birders and photographers.

I wanted to be there for sunrise shots on Desmond Road for the first time and was politely told to stay off the levee by a nice lady in a white pickup truck. I saw signs on one side of the road, but not the other, so . . . pressed my luck a little too far.
