After visiting Los Osos Oaks Reserve, we headed to Montana de Oro and Spooner's Cove. The fog lingered along the water's edge, but the colors along the rock face above the creek were still pretty strong.
One family was braving the water while the tide was low (but starting to come in). The kids loved jumping into the water, even after the initial icy shock.
We waited and waited to get good breakers across from us and were rewarded with a few worth capturing.
This is a popular beach with a huge parking lot (unpaved). A few picnic tables are set up. It is spectacular when a colorful sunset is gracing its unusual rock forms.
