Our granddaughter hadn't seen the Lorikeet pavilion at the local zoo, so we took her Saturday afternoon. Many of the animals here had been injured before their incarceration, so my level of disdain for zoos was somewhat diminished as we toured the many prison cells.


Lorikeets are noisy and rambunctious, but very friendly. Kids love them, but keep a distance just the same.
