This morning's quest to find a spectacular sunrise didn't prove successful, but it was great to get out of the house, listen to thousands of geese taking off, surprising a river otter scampering along right in front of me on the Desmond Road levee, and enjoying the solace of the Cosumnes Preserve all alone (almost).
