The day after Christmas is a great opportunity for those of us who want to fewer people out and about when we're on the road. After talking to Amand yesterday at Cosumnes Preserve, I decided to visit Staten Island Road without the fog at sunrise this time. Plenty of birds. Cold and crisp. Only one other car on the road until I left. The Willets are my favorite subjects. It's always fun to see these shorebirds take flight and zip back and forth in tandem. Just pan and shoot with a fast shutter speed and you can't miss.
