Our recent trip to Morro Bay and Paso Robles started with a drive down I-5 to Kettleman City, then southwest on Hwy 41, along the Kettleman Hills. The cloudy skies painted the fields with patches of sunlight.

We visited the vintage stuff shops in Morro Bay the day after shooting the sunset at Spooner Cove in Montana de Oro State Park, south of Los Osos. We were treated to a majestic display of reds and yellows as the sun layered the clouds in color right after sunset.

It's hard to take an 'original' photo of Morro Rock. I keep trying different angles. Winter is the best time, either right before a storm or right after. These were taken right after an inch of rain came down a few hours before.
