With rain on the agenda this morning, I drove to the Cosumnes River Wildlife Preserve hoping it wouldn't start for awhile. At 7:30 the skies were cloudy, dark and dreary with the occasional geese formations high overhead. The wind was slight. Cold enough for gloves, but nothing severe. I only saw a few herons, one egret, some towhees, and a number of kinglets, beside the ducks, cranes and geese. Not much going on. But, hey, it's the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. I've applied some art filters to more than one flora macro today, so the colors may be a little skewed.
