It was time to head south Friday morning. We first stopped at one of KP Corp's facilities in Salem. They are blessed with a new building and a beautiful city to work in.

Then we pulled off the road one mile and had lunch in Oakland, Oregon. This is a very small town that has moved one mile north of its original site. A few of the houses were moved with it back in the 1800's. Downtown is a late 19th century treat.

We finally came to Medford for the night and drove 4 miles west to another well preserved town, Jacksonville. This place was the center of a gold mining operation in the mid-1850's.
