This was the California Curling Championships hosted here in Stockton at the Arena.
There's nothing like an exciting curling event, with the crowd roaring, the 'rocks' snapping, the brushes whizzing and the 'hurrys' echoing.
Barb and I only saw one woman sitting in the stands while we were there after the main competition. This sport isn't a hockey magnet when it comes to spectators - at least in Stockton today for practice time.
But it was great seeing the color, the slow motion action and hearing the yelling from the floor.
