Here's part of the river we've never visited before and I was surprised at the meandering riverfront. This area has a 1/4 mile paved walk that meanders through the vintage oaks and shrubs that border the water. If you take the dirt paths that lead from the pavement, you'll find different ways to get to the river a few dozen yard away.

The water is low in the winter, so there's lots of sand to trek over. We saw a kingfisher, red-shafted flickers, raptors and various waterfowl.
