Meandering through the local junior college, looking for spring color, I met two people who love flowers like myself. The first was Heather, who was pulling weeds in the Demonstration Garden area. She apologized for her dirty hands and showed me her accomplished pile of green waste in the street. She was thankful it was still cool outside and directed me to the nursery to see more color. Sammy Wong followed me over to the Koi Pond in the middle of the campus. He said he always carries his camera bag with him and pulled out a 5x7 envelope full of flower pictures he'd taken with a Canon film camera. Pretty impressive. Sammy is retired from his teaching position. The photos are from the Meadow Garden, the Demonstration Garden, the Koi Pond, the Nursery and hothouse, and main campus. Thankfully, it's spring break at the school --- no one walking around except two strange looking geezer photographers!
